Various thermal insulation boards (polystyrene variants)
Prolite Thermo Board - EPS (Expanded Polystyrene)
Description:
High density fire resistant boards; EPS 32kg/m³ and 40kg/m²; type X with ABS facings.
Dimensions:
Available from 25mm thickness and upwards in widths of 1200m as standard. Standard lengths are 600, 1200, 2400, 3600 and 4800mm. Non standard widths and lengths can be manufactured. Suspended ceilings are 1200x600mm standard.
Benefits:
- Excellent thermal insulant - EPS is 98% air
- Proven acoustic insulant - EPS absorbs both impact sound in floating floors and airborne sound for walls
- Moisture resistant - EPS resists degradation by water
- Lifetime durability - EPS does not decompose
- Flexible mechanical properties of EPS can be adjusted to suit every specified application
- Versatile - EPS can be manufactured to almost any shape or size and is compatible with a wise variety of materials
- Easy to transport as EPS is as light as air
- Extremely SAFE - EPS is non-toxic and totally inert; unlike gas extruded polystyrene (XPS) it contains no Chloroflourocarbons (CFC) or Hydrofluorocarbons (HCFC)
- Recyclable - EPS can be recycled in many ways, including recycling directly into new buildings products and incineration to recover its inherent energy content
